Who We Are

Choudhury Eye Clinic was established way back in 1946 by Late Dr Radha Ranjan Choudhury in Narsingtola, Silchar. The reins of the clinic was taken up by Dr H. K Choudhury in 1973. After retirement from Medical education service, Assam, Dr H. K. Choudhury started the clinic in its present location at Shillongpatty in 2005.

He was joined by Dr Haimanti Choudhury and Dr Himadri Choudhury and the clinic attained the status of a hospital in 2015. Choudhury Eye Hospital and Research Centre is the only tertiary eye care centre in South Assam. It caters to the need of whole of Barak Valley, neighboring states of Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram and also Bangladesh..
